Schwarzenegger\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/netflix\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">Netflix<\/a> action-comedy has been cancelled after just two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Fubar, which the former professional bodybuilder, 78, starred in alongside Monica Barbaro, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/06\/18\/netflix-fans-beg-brilliant-series-saved-despite-admitting-bad-23446537\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was his first foray into television.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/08\/fubar-canceled-netflix-arnold-schwarzenegger-1236441493\/#recipient_hashed=b92941641788d15805f03b377d572994d12bdade7478975c93d0143007f01373&recipient_salt=e829000bb0b218c27fbd0c12f4a38481876a8ab041cc990efde89259509b9611&utm_medium=email&utm_source=exacttarget&utm_campaign=Deadline_BreakingNews&utm_content=624402_08-01-2025&utm_term=56896?utm_medium=email&utm_source=exacttarget&utm_campaign=1754089204-Breaking+News+Alert&utm_content=624402_8-1-2025&utm_id=624402\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Deadline<\/a>, the cancellation of the show was due to a drop in viewership after its June season two premiere.<\/p>\n<p>The first season of Fubar debuted in May 2023 and saw a whopping 11 million views, while the second series had only 2.2 million in the same weekend time frame.<\/p>\n<p>Schwarzenegger announced that he would be starring in Fubar in I am going to FINALLY cancel Netflix if Fubar doesn\u2019t get a 3rd season.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/rotten-tomatoes\/\"><strong>Rotten Tomatoes<\/strong><\/a> user Pan N wrote in their brutal review of season two: \u2018The first season wasn\u2019t this bad. The acting is horrible, the direction is awful, the story is ridiculous and the dialogue dreadful. The premise is stupid and then it went downhill from there. There were times I literally cringed.\u2019 Ouch.<\/p>\n<p>However, not all the reactions were negative, with many Netflix subscribers taking to X to praise the second season. @itswallsworld said the \u2018quirky but brilliant\u2019 CIA team headed up by Schwarzenegger brought \u2018terrific fun\u2019. <\/p>\n<p>@Kilts4me echoed: \u2018Just finished Fubar S2. This show is just great. A bit slap stick, but clever and just fun. Stand out performances from absolutely every cast member, my fav from  Andy Buckley he was hilarious. Hope of hopes there\u2019s a S3.
