{"id":4185,"date":"2025-08-07T14:58:06","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T14:58:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.satecsite.org\/?p=4185"},"modified":"2025-08-11T10:11:58","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T10:11:58","slug":"battlefield-6-open-beta-early-access-has-started-heres-how-to-join","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.satecsite.org\/index.php\/2025\/08\/07\/battlefield-6-open-beta-early-access-has-started-heres-how-to-join\/","title":{"rendered":"Battlefield 6 open beta early access has started \u2013 here\u2019s how to join"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"363\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"article-image wp-image-23804665 lazyload\" alt=\"Battlefield 6 open beta graphic\" loading=\"lazy\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.satecsite.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/SEI_260786102-a6d2.jpg\">\t<\/div><figcaption>The beta has already begun but there&#8217;ll be another one (EA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The open beta for <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/battlefield\/\">Battlefield<\/a> 6 has begun and <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/electronic-arts\/\">EA<\/a> has tried to make it as easy as possible for you to get access.<\/p>\n<p>After private gameplay sessions and numerous leaks, EA formally revealed Battlefield 6 with <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/07\/24\/battlefield-6-reveal-trailer-live-now-multiplayer-showcase-follow-23744088\/\">a proper trailer<\/a> last week, followed by a <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/07\/31\/battlefield-6-confirms-release-date-open-beta-maps-multiplayer-trailer-23804609\/\">multiplayer showcase<\/a> on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Given the <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2021\/11\/18\/battlefield-2042-final-review-surprisingly-strange-undeniably-huge-15626153\/\">poor reception <\/a>to 2021\u2019s Battlefield 2042, EA is <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/11\/20\/battlefield-6-playtesting-ever-official-reveal-looms-22030023\/\">pulling out all the stops<\/a> with Battlefield 6, with no less than four whole studios working on it and alleged plans to <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/07\/03\/ea-thinks-battlefield-6-will-big-fortnite-sets-100-000-000-player-target-23569866\/\">reach 100 million players<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With multiplayer gameplay streams and videos everywhere online, EA has also opened up pre-orders and, surprisingly, there are only two versions to choose from.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What special editions are there for Battlefield 6?<\/h2>\n<p>Aside from a standard edition of Battlefield 6, EA is offering a special edition of the game dubbed the Phantom Edition.<\/p>\n<p>The standard edition is \u00a359.99 on PC and \u00a369.99 on consoles, although you can get a 10% discount if you have an EA Play membership.<\/p>\n<div class=\"factbox\" data-ico=\"factbox_article\" data-track-module=\"factbox_article\">\n<h2 class=\"factbox-title\">\n\t\t\t\tExpert, exclusive gaming analysis\t\t\t<\/h2>\n<div class=\"factbox-content\">\n<p>Sign up to the <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/newsletters\/game-central\/\"><strong>GameCentral newsletter<\/strong><\/a> for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Battlefield 6\u2019s specs on PC are quite demanding, meaning even the strongest handheld PCs would struggle to get it running, with Zampella confirming the game won\u2019t work on Valve\u2019s Steam Deck.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It does not work on Steam Deck. I think there are some non-Steam Deck handheld platforms that it will work on, probably, right? However, Battlefield Lab members can join early access on August 7.<\/p>\n<p>Lab registration has since closed, but but there&#8217;s still a chance to gain access to the standard open beta starting on Saturday, August 9. All you need is an open beta code and then you can play on the format of your choice.<\/p>\n<p>To get a code you need to find a streamer on Twitch that is giving them away or keep an eye on EA&#8217;s official Battlefield 6 X account, where they&#8217;re often offered up for free, as in the example above.<\/p>\n<p>The second open beta starts on Thursday, August 14 and runs until August 17. That should be particularly easy to pick up a code for, as EA wants as many people playing as possible.
