Rapper T-Hood, 33, dies after being shot at home


Georgia-based rapper T-Hood has died after being fatally shot at his home.
The 33-year-old, whose real name is Tevin Hood, was best known on the Southern rap scene for songs READY 2 GO and Big Booty.
As per TMZ, Gwinnett County police arrived on the scene following reports of a shooting during a dispute in Snellville on Friday.
The outlet reports that while Hood was taken to hospital, he died as a result of his injuries.
An investigation into the Perculator hitmaker’s death is now underway. It is being treated as a homicide.
Currently, one person has been arrested in connection with the shooting and is being interviewed by cops.


Motive is unclear, and the circumstances surrounding the alleged dispute are also unknown. However, Yulanda, Hood’s mother, says a party was not going on.
Hood was last active on Instagram a week ago, with his comments section now being filled with tributes.
His music producer, Deddotwill, wrote: ‘We was just on the phone all day I cant believe you are gone.
‘REST IN PEACE T-HOOD I LOVE YOU BROTHER.’
‘Love you Brudda ain’t no way you left me like that 😢’, added music artist AYOO KD.
‘I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BRO’, wrote singer Da Kid K.

Many fans also expressed their sadness, saying they ‘can’t believe’ the news.
Others also took to the comments of another of Hood’s recent posts, a comedic video in which he dressed as a ghost in a cemetery.
The clip was in aid of his track Grave Diggerz and saw him painted with fake blood and laughing at the camera while saying: ‘Hello, are you still alive? We are dead down at the cemetery.’
‘Come down to the cemetery; I have a spot for you,’ he quipped.
‘All you have to do is die. Just die today. You die today, you get to come and play—come on down.’
Fans have since noted the poignance of the footage, saying it ‘did not age well’.
Meanwhile, Hood’s girlfriend, Kelsie Frost, the daughter of reality star Kirk Frost, has also taken to social media with her grief.
Minutes after his death was made public, she penned a tribute to the ‘love of [her] life’, posting on Instagram: ‘First off I’ve been advised not to speak up by plenty of parties. I can’t sit back and let this narrative being created go on. The love of my life is GONE. the man I lay with and cuddle every single night…is no longer here.’
‘I want to ask for respect and privacy I won’t because I will always defend my baby,’ she continued.
Frost said she feels ‘sick to [her] stomach’ in the aftermath of the tragedy, writing: ‘I don’t wish this on anyone.’
She proceeded to hit out at ‘weird and sick rumours’.
‘I’m not good at talking but I would love to give insight and let the people who love him in, to get understanding…I don’t have the right words but I wanna keep typing while also respecting his family and loved ones.’
